Diagnostics
While we perform comprehensive physical examinations at each of our appointments, oftentimes additional diagnostics are needed to help us rule in or out underlying diseases.
Digital radiographs (x-rays) can provide the immediate diagnostic ability to evaluate for a variety of diseases. When consultation with a specialist is needed, we can also electronically transmit these images to board-certified radiologists for additional interpretation.
Ultrasonography is a noninvasive imaging tool that can provide highly detailed evaluations of both the thoracic and abdominal cavities. We work with traveling specialists who perform abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart). The majority of cases do not require sedation.
We partner with outside laboratories for comprehensive testing of blood, urine, fecal, and tissue samples. Additionally, we have the ability to perform certain diagnostic testing in-house, including some bloodwork, ear swabs, skin scrapings, and fine needle aspirates.
